Paano mo malalaman kung ikaw ay ligtas at naisilang na muli? Paano ka nakatitiyak na ikaw ay anak ng Diyos? Sagot: Sa pamamagitan ng Banal na Espiritu. Siya ang nagpapatotoo (witness) sa iyong espiritu na ikaw ay anak ng Diyos at hindi lamang anak, kundi kasamang tagapagmana (joint-heirs) ni Cristo (Romans 8:16-17). You know in your spirit that you are a child of God because of the Holy Spirit that dwells you. Kung baga sa isang nililitis, Siya ang tumatayong witness natin sa ginagawang pagaakusa ng kaaway upang mag-alinlangan tayo sa ating kaugnayan sa Diyos. Nililinaw (illuminate) Niya sa atin kung gaano tayo kamahal ng Diyos, upang hindi tayo manahan sa ating mga sariling gawa kundi sa Kanyang kagandahang-loob o biyaya.
Ang Banal na Espiritu ang nangungusap at nagpapaalala sa atin ng ating katatayuan bilang mga pinaging-matuwid at pinaging-banal sa harapan ng Diyos. Siya ang naghahayag sa atin kung sino na tayo ngayon sa espiritu upang ang pagkakilanlan (identiy) na ito ang atin ng ipamuhay. As He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world. In our born again spirit, we have the fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace…), strength/power, righteousness, blessings, health, and completeness in Christ. Ang laman ay walang kakayahan na marinig ang tinig ng Diyos sa pamamagitan ng Banal na Espiritu; hindi nito nauunawaan ang mga bagay na espiritual; ang kaya lamang niyang maarok ay ang mga bagay sa mundo at ukol sa mga pansariling kagustuhan. Alam ng Diyos ang ating mga kahinaan; subalit sa pamamagitan ng Banal na Espiritu na nananahan ngayon sa ating espiritu, mayroon na tayong kakayahan na supilin ang gusto ng laman at labanan ang ibang mga tinig na ating naririnig sa mundo o mula sa sarili.
