Gift of Discerning of Spirits
1 Corinto 12:10b - Mayroon namang pinagkalooban ng kakayahang makakilala kung ang kapangyarihan ng isang tao ay mula sa Banal na Espiritu o sa masasamang espiritu (ASND).

Discerning of Spirits Explained (Source: spiritualgiftstest.com)
- (Gk “Diakrisis)- the word describes being able to distinguish, discern, judge o appraise a person, statement or environment
- to enable certain Christians to clearly recognize and distinguish between the influence of God, Satan, the world and the flesh in a given situation.

Katulad ng ibang revelation gifts, ang pagkilala sa mga espiritu (discerning of/distinguishing spirits) ay inihahayag ng Banal na Espiritu sa mananampalatayang may kaloob nito at hindi mula sa anumang makatao o makamundong karunungan. Discernment is a form of direct perception, given by the Holy Spirit (Derek Prince). Hindi ito katulad ng discernment na mayroon ang lahat ng tao gamit ang kanilang natural senses. Spirits, whether good or evil, can only be discerned through spiritual means.

May kakayahan ang pinagkalooban ng gift of discerning of spirits na matukoy ang presensya ng:
(1) The Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God [e.g. kalapati (John 1:32-33); dilang apoy (Acts 2:3-4)]
(2) Angels (good angels) [e.g. Mary Magdalene and other women’s encounter with the angels - Luke 24:3-7)
(3) Fallen, rebellious angels (demonic/evil spirits) – [e.g Jesus healed a demon-possessed man (Matthew 12:22-23)]
(4) Human spirits [Simon the sorcerer’s jealousy(Acts 8:18-24)

A believer who has this supernatural gift can discern if the words being heard (or prophesied) are coming from the Holy Spirit or coming from evil spirit or human spirit. Isang halimbawa ay ang dalagitang alipin sa Acts 16:16-18 na sinasaniban ng masamang espiritu kaya siya ay may kakayahang manghula. Araw-araw isinisigaw niya na sina Pablo ay "mga lingkod ng Kataas-taasang Diyos, ipinangangaral nila sa inyo kung paano kayo maliligtas.” Kung tutuusin, wala namang masama sa kanyang isinisigaw, subalit, alam ni Pablo (he can discern) na siya’y sinasaniban ng masamang espiritu kaya sinaway niya ito at inutusang lumabas; lumabas ang masamang espiritu mula sa dalagita.

Layunin ng kaloob ng pagkilala sa mga espiritu na (1) maalis ang tumatakip upang hindi natin makita ang spiritual na mundo (to lift the veil that covers the unseen spiritual world); (2) makita natin kung paano nakikita ng Diyos ang isang tao, lugar o pangyayari (to enable us to see as God sees). (3) Ibinigay din ito upang protektahan tayo sa anumang panlilinlang (ng tao, kaaway o mundo) at (4) upang malaman natin ang problema o suliranin ng isang tao at makatulong tayo sa kanya.

Purihin ang Diyos sa mga kaloob na maaari nating magamit habang tayo’y nabubuhay sa mundo. May we all function according to our individual giftings to built up or edify the body of Christ.

1. Ang bawat tao ay may kakayahang malaman o maramdaman (discern, recognize, judge or appraise) ang nasa loob (isip o pakiramdam) ng isang tao, ano ang kaibahan nito sa gift of discerning of spirits na ating tinatalakay?
