Ang pang-unawa sa mga talatang ito ay hindi lamang nagpapalaya sa atin mula sa maling kaisipan patungkol sa gawain ng Banal na Espiritu, kundi sa katatayuan natin
bilang mga mananampalataya. Any feeling of guilt or condemnation does not come from the Holy Spirit, but from our conscience (Rom. 2:15) or from Satan [the accuser of brethren (Rev. 12:10-12)]. In fact, ang Banal na Espiritu ang palaging nagsasabi at nagpapaalala sa atin (through the Word) na tayo ay matuwid, malinis at banal na dahil sa ginawa ni Cristo.

Ngayon, malinaw na sa atin na ang Banal na Espiritu ay hindi ipinadala upang hatulan o usigin ang tao sa kanilang nagagawang kasalanan (acts of sin: e.g. murder, lies, adultery); kundi, upang sawayin (reprove) ang tao sa iisang kasalanan – the sin of unbelief. Dito nag-uugat ang lahat ng nagagawang kasalanan ng tao; ito’y nanganganak ng iba pang mga kasalanan (acts of sin). Ang kawalan ng pananampalataya (sin of unbelief) ay nagbubunga ng pagsuway [e.g. Adam and Eve’s unbelief in God’s Word led them to eat the forbidden fruit]. Gayundin naman, ang ugat ng paglaganap ng kasamaan sa mundo ay kawalan ng pananampalataya ng tao sa Diyos at sa Kanya sinugo na si Hesus. Nevertheless, as sin abounds, God’s grace also abounds.
Nahatulan na ang pinuno ng sanlibutan; tiyak na ang ating tagumpay; wala na tayong dapat ikatakot. Siya’y parang leon na umaatungal lamang upang tayo’y takutin; huwag tayong magpalinlang sa kanya. Natalo na siya sa pamamagitan ng kamatayan at pagkabuhay na muli ni Cristo. Wala nang maidadahilan pa ang tao; ang lahat ay mayroon nang pagkakataong maligtas, subalit alam natin na mayroon pa ring hindi mananalig kay Hesus na masasama sa kaparusahang dapat sana’y sa Diablo lamang.
