Jesus, My Saviour
Bakit kailangan ng tao ng Tagapagligtas? Una, dahil siya’y napapahamak (unawarely) dahil sa kasalanan at siya’y patungo sa walang hanggang kamatayan (eternal death). Pangalawa, dahil hindi niya kayang iligtas ang kanyang sarili sa pamamagitan ng sariling pagsisikap o gaano man siya kabuti o gaano man karami ang kanyang mabubuting gawa (as taught by many religions). Sa lahat ng mga relihiyon sa mundo, tanging ang Kristiyanismo ang naniniwala na ang Diyos ay nagkatawang tao upang iligtas ang sangkatauhan; sa madaling salita, tanging Kristiyanismo ang may Tagapagligtas, at iyon ay si Hesus. Sa pamamagitan ng Kanyang kamatayan at pagkabuhay na muli, napanumbalik Niya ang kaugnayan ng tao sa Diyos sa pamamagitan ng pananampalataya. Jesus said to him, “I am THE WAY, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6 NKJV). Jesus is the Christ (Hebrew “Mashiach”; Greek “Kristos”, meaning “the anointed One”. “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18 NIV)
Siya ang Pinili o Sinugo (literally, pinahiran) upang dalhin ang Mabuting Balita sa mga dukha; dukha hindi lamang sa mga materyal na bagay, kundi karukhaan sa espiritu (spiritually impoverished) – ang mga kumikilala na walang-wala sila; na kailangan nila ang Diyos; na wala silang maipagmamalaki sa Diyos. God came to heal the brokenhearted or wounded (in the heart), and to give hope to the hopeless. Maraming tao ang nawawalan ng pag-asa sa buhay. Kailangan nilang marinig na may solusyon sa kanilang mga suliranin – si Hesus. Dumating Siya upang bigyan ng kapahingahan ang mga taong napapagal at nabibigatan sa kanilang mga pasanin. Dumating ang Kanyang paghahari sa bawat puso natin hindi lamang upang palayain tayo sa kasalanan, kundi sa takot, depresyon at alalahanin na dulot ng mundo. Sa mundo na puno ng mga hamon, kawalan ng katiyakan at pasakit, mayroon tayong pag-asa, katiyakan at kagaanan kay Hesus na ating Tagapagligtas.
