Sa talata sa itaas, dalawang magkasalungat na batas ang mababasa: ang batas ng Espiritu na nagbibigay-buhay (the law of the Spirit of life) at ang batas ng kasalanan at kamatayan (the law of sin and death). Ang una, na siyang ating paksa, ay tumutukoy sa realidad ng bagong pagkatao o pagkakakilanlan (identity) na naging posible dahil sa Espiritung sumasaatin na Siyang nagbibigay-buhay. Ang buhay na ito ang siya ring bagong espiritu na ating tinanggap dahil sa ating pakikipag-isa kay Cristo. Our life/spirit now is being sustained and governed by the Holy Spirit. Ang pangalawa ay tumutukoy sa likas na kalagayan ng tao (in Adam) kung saan ang kasalanan ay nagdulot ng kamatayan. Napalaya na tayo dito.

Bilang nakipag-isa kay Cristo, ang tunay mong pagkatao (the real you) ay nasa iyong espiritu. Ito ay ganap, perpekto, banal, matuwid, puno ng pag-ibig, kagalakan, at kapayapaan, katulad ni Cristo. Subalit ang iyong kaluluwa at katawan ay kapareho pa rin ng dati nang ikaw ay maligtas; walang nagbago. Ang iniisip pa rin ng kaluluwa ay makalumang kaisipan – kung saan siya nasanay. [Note: ang katawan ay sumusunod lamang sa dikta ng kaluluwa (remember the soul is the control center)] Kaya nga, ang kaisipan (soul part) ay kailangang mabago (renew), upang ang buhay na nasa espiritu ay dumaloy sa kaluluwa at katawan [Spirit -> Soul -> Body]. Paano?
Dito makikita ang layunin ng Banal na Espiritu (the Spirit of life) sa ating mga buhay. Siya ay pinadala upang gabayan at turuan tayo sa lahat ng katotohanan – kung sino si Cristo at ang Kanyang natapos na gawa - at sa gayo’y mabigyang kaluwalhatian si Cristo. The Holy Spirit quickens (make alive) the Word of God in our hearts as we hear or meditate it. Habang patuloy na naihahayag sa ating puso kung sino si Cristo, mas nauunawaan na din natin ngayon kung sino na tayo (in our spirit). Sa pamamagitan pagkilala sa ating bagong pagkakakilanlan, ang ating kaluluwa (kaisipan) ay unti-unting nagbabago at unti-unting naaayon sa katotohanang nasa atin na. When our soul agrees with what we have in the spirit, the body starts to express it.

2. May mga bahagi pa ba ng iyong pag-iisip (kaluluwa) na hindi pa naaayon sa katotohanan ng iyong pagkakakilanlan kay Cristo?
