Gift of the Word of Knowledge
1 Corinto 12:8 - Sa isa ay ibinigay sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu ang salita ng karunungan, at sa iba'y ANG SALITA NG KAALAMAN ayon sa gayunding Espiritu (ABTAG2001).

The gift of the word of knowledge refers to the ability to know facts about a situation, or a spiritual principle, that could not have been known by natural means (Don Stewart). Ang Salita ng Kaalaman ay hindi kaalaman na natamo mula sa pag-aaral; ito ay kaalamang galing lamang sa kapahayagan (revelation) ng Espiritu ng Diyos. Karamihan sa mga mayroong ganitong kaloob ay makapagpapatunay na walang kinalaman ang kanilang nalalaman o pinag-aralan (prior knowledge or intellectual knowledge) sa Salita ng Kaalaman na kanilang natanggap. Remember, it is a word OF knowledge, not word FROM knowledge.
The Word of Knowledge may be a revelation of facts about a person or situation. Ito ay supernatural na kakayahang malaman ang tungkol sa nakaraan o kasalukuyang buhay (past or present) ng isang tao o pangyayari (na hindi mo naman kakilala o hindi mo alam). [When the revelation includes a future occurence (that is about to happen), it is already a word of wisdom or prophecy.] Sometimes the word of knowledge and word of wisdom work hand in hand.
Examples of Word of Knowledge in the Bible:
• John 1:47-50 - When Jesus saw Nathaniel and spoke word of knowledge about him and his whereabouts before Philip called him Ang Salita ng Kaalaman na sinabi ni Hesus kay Nathaniel ang nag-udyok sa kanya upang maniwala na si Hesus na nga ang Mesias na sinasabi ng Kasulatan.
• Acts 5:1-11 – Peter received a word of knowledge concerning the lies of Ananias and Sapphira made. Ang kasalanan ng mag-asawang ito ay hindi ang pagkupit nila ng pera mula sa pinagbilhan kundi ang pagsisinungaling nila sa Espiritu Santo na ibinigay nila ang kabuuan ng pinagbilhan ng kanilang ari-arian gayong hindi naman.
• Acts 9:11-16 – The Lord gave Ananias a word of knowledge by giving distinct information how to find Paul. Ginamit ng Diyos si Ananias upang muling makakita si Pablo at maunawaan ang tungkol kay Cristo; and the rest is history.
• Acts 10:9-16 – Peter received a word of knowledge through a vision. Sa pamamagitan ng inihayag ng Diyos kay Pedro, ang kaligtasan ay dumating sa sambahayan at mga kaibigan ni Cornelius na isang Hentil.
During the early church, God still speaks directly/audibly to believers as shown in the above examples. However, when the Scriptures have been completed (Old and New Testaments), the Holy Spirit speaks to some through inner impressions (thoughts) or revelation, and to others, through vision or dreams. Take note: ang mga ito ay dapat umaayon sa Salita ng Diyos; anumang salungat sa mga katotohanang itinuturo ng Salita ng Diyos ay tiyak na hindi galing sa Banal na Espiritu.
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another (1 Peter 4:10 NLT). Ibinigay ng Banal na Espiritu ang Salita ng Kaalaman upang makatulong ang may kaloob nito sa pangangailangan ng ibang kapatiran o ng iglesia (to meet people’s needs or minister to the body of believers). Specifically, upang maibahagi ang Ebangelyo ng kaligtasan (be witnesses for Christ) at upang udyukin sa pananalangin ang mga mananampalataya [to ask for wisdom (what to do with the word of knowledge received or how to minister it.)]
